Navigating Career Development in the Age of Industry 4.0

APCDA invites you to attend this international conference where all presentations will be in English. The audience will consist of delegates from many Asian countries and regions as well as other parts of the world. This conference provides opportunities for networking, sharing among practitioners, and identifying new resources. Breakout sessions will be divided into four tracks:

  • Serving School Populations (K-12)
  • Serving College Students
  • Serving Working or Job Seeking Adults
  • Research on Career Issues

The audience will include career and school counselors, counselor educators, workforce development professionals, human resource professionals, and career development practitioners at all age levels and in all settings (school, college and university, government, military, business, agency, corrections, and private practice). Some assistance with translation will be provided, but delegates are encouraged to bring their own translators.

      KOTO (Know One, Teach One) is a non-profit that empowers at-risk and disadvantaged youth by providing training, life-skills, and opportunity in the tourism and hospitality industry. Visit KOTO and see how this is done.

  • Saturday, May 25

    • Morning/Afternoon Tour of Mekong Delta, 7 AM - 4 PM, $40
      The Mekong Delta is an extensive mangrove swamp where most people travel by boat. Visit a floating market by boat. Then explore the villages and visit a coconut candy factory. Finally, visit an orchard and taste fruits that are in season.  Lunch will also be served at the orchard.
    • Water Puppet Show and Dinner 5 - 10 PM, $40
      Water puppets were originally used to entertain villagers in flooded rice paddies. Watch this unique and fascinating performance, then dine on Vietnamese cuisine with your friends.
    • Evening Vespa Foodie Tour 5 - 10 PM, $30
      Hop on a vespa (with a local in the driver's seat) and enjoy the nightlife in Saigon.  Eat delicacies from around the country and enjoy local beverages. Great way to see and taste the real Saigon.

CEU Clock Hours Available

Our annual conference is an opportunity for networking, professional development, and to earn up to 17.7 CEU Clock Hours from the US NBCC.  Japan's JCDA also provides CEUs.
