APCDA invites you to attend this international conference where all presentations will be in English. The audience will consist of delegates from many Asian countries and regions as well as other parts of the world. This conference provides opportunities for networking, sharing among practitioners, and identifying new resources. Breakout sessions will be divided into four tracks:

  • Serving School Populations (K-12)
  • Serving College Students
  • Serving Working or Job Seeking Adults
  • Research on Career Issues

The audience will include career and school counselors, counselor educators, workforce development professionals, human resource professionals, and career development practitioners at all age levels and in all settings (school, college and university, government, military, business, agency, corrections, and private practice). Some assistance with translation will be provided, but delegates are encouraged to bring their own translators.

      KOTO (Know One, Teach One) is a non-profit that empowers at-risk and disadvantaged youth by providing training, life-skills, and opportunity in the tourism and hospitality industry. Visit KOTO and see how this is done.

    • Professional Development Institute: by Dr. Seung-Ming (Alvin) Leung, 2 - 5 PM: $100 

      These two 3-hour Professional Development Institutes provide a more in-depth learning experience, where you will have the time to really learn the skills and content discussed by the Keynote Speakers.

  • Wednesday, May 22

    • Companion at Evening Reception, 6 - 8 PM: $25
      If you are traveling with a friend, invite them to join you at the reception.  It includes appetizers, beverages, and entertainment.
  • Friday, May 23

    • Professional Development Institute: Careers in Complex Cultural Contexts: Facilitating Understanding and Practice through Systems Thinking by Dr. Mary McMahon, 2 - 5 PM: $100
  • Saturday, May 24

    • Morning Tour of Mekong Delta, 8 - 2 PM: $65
      The Mekong Delta is an extensive mangrove swamp where most people travel by boat. Visit a floating market by boat where our guide will purchase lunch. After exploring villages and craft factories (by land), watch your lunch being prepared from the food purchased in the morning.
    • Evening Tour (dance performance and dinner)5 - 10 PM: $65
      In the Opera House (1898), see the AO Show, a rare mix of bamboo cirque, contemporary dance, acrobatics, and live music by folk instruments. Dine on Vietnamese/French cuisine and enjoy the city at night with your friends.

CEU Clock Hours Available

Our annual conference is an opportunity for networking, professional development, and to earn up to 17.7 CEU Clock Hours from the US NBCC.  Japan's JCDA also provides CEUs.

Refund policy: Registrations that are canceled at least 4 days prior to the event can be refunded, except for a 6% handling fee. After that time, there are no refunds.
