By Dr. Hyung Joon Yoon

Recorded  July 29, 2021

Today, employee career development is more important than ever, accelerated by new norms of working. Join us as we explore how the concept of hope can be infused into employee career development.

Dr Hyung Joon Yoon is an Associate Professor for Workforce Education and Development at Pennsylvania State University. His research centers on utilizing hope, human agency for individuals and organisations.  He co-developed Hope-Action Theory and the Hope-Action Inventory, and he is one of the co-authors of Career Recovery: Creating Hopeful Careers in Difficult Times. Dr Hyung is also Associate Editor of Human Resource Development Review, a premier theory-building journal in the Human Resources field. He was designated as an NCDA Fellow in 2020 for his significant contributions to the field of career development.

Through this webinar, we will learn about 35 HR interventions that could be used for employees in different job-based career stages; and concrete and general directions for supporting employee career development in turbulent times, such as the pandemic. If you work for an organization, you will be able to assess the quality of organizational career development practices.
