Planting the seeds for lifelong career development: Exploring the role of play

We are seeking survey responses from everyone who is interested in how young children (ages birth to 8) develop their interests and aptitudes. Please add your [confidential] voice to our data! Survey is now live until July 30!

What is involved?

  • Complete an online survey taking around 10 minutes
  • Your responses will be kept confidential.
  • Your participation is voluntary and you can opt out of questions.
  • The purpose of the study is to better understand the role that play has in helping children develop crucial skills and aptitudes that help them throughout their lives.

Call for Articles for the
2026 Conference Proceedings

The conference is past, but the exciting ideas shared at the conference live on.

Presenters at the 2026 APCDA Conference are invited to submit a paper for publication.  Papers can be as short as one page or as long as 5 pages. Use this opportunity to introduce ideas or research directions to others in our field who may be pursuing similar lines of thought or research.  Click here for more details.

Asia Pacific Career Development Journal (APCDJ) is an international biannual scholarly journal dedicated to all career development and intervention related topics, such as career counseling, individual and organizational career development, work and leisure, career education, career coaching, and career management.  Issues are published each March and September.  We are currently accepting manuscripts to be published.

APCDA is a vibrant global member focused community that has qualified career professionals from across the globe. To increase membership engagement and to promote community engagement, APCDA encourages it’s members to share career opportunities in our weekly announcements. Members from all APCDA countries are encouraged to share part-time, full-time, remote, gig, consulting, project opportunities, speaking, and training opportunities across the broad career development field.  Access to the Member Job Bank free to members and you can find it in your Member Portal: Members are encouraged to enter job announcements.  Job announcements are only visible to Members.  Employers and others who are not members are encouraged to send job announcements to Info@AsiaPacificCDA.org and we will post them for you. Job Postings information categories include:  Job Title, Company Name, Job Description, City, Country, Region, Job Category (Career Practitioner, Educator, Job Placement Specialist, Other), Job Type (Contract, Part-Time, Permanent, Temporary), Salary Range, Salary Type (Annual, Contract, Hourly), Deadline, and How to Apply.  Please also mention training requirements and language/cultural requirements, recognizing that this is an international audience.

APCDA has many recorded webinars, some by famous people and all containing really valuable information about our field.  Some webinars are free to all.  Other webinars use dual pricing based on the average income of your area. After six months, all paid webinars are free for members and low-priced for non-members. All Recorded Webinars can be found in the Store.

Members are invited to download a copy of the Member Logo from the APCDA Website. The legal agreement published on our website makes it possible for our members to use this logo on your website, signature, or letterhead.  We currently have five kinds of member logos:

  1. Individual Members
  2. Organization Members
  3. Lifetime Members
  4. Legacy Partner Lifetime
  5. Professional associations which offer Joint Membership with APCDA (Affiliates)

If you fall into groups 1 to 4, please go to our website at AsiaPacificCDA.org and click “Member Portal.” Choose Workspaces, and your member logos (as JPG or PNG files) should be waiting there for you to download. If you fall into the fifth group, you should have received the logo from us by email. If not, send a request to:  Info@AsiaPacificCDA.org
